I managed to do some minor damage of the chrome of one of the rims on my C6 Z06 - very annoying of course...

As I was never too much in love with the chrome it would be a perfect excuse to change the color of the wheels.

Can I just have the chrome sandblasted and leave it like that or it's better to powder-coat / paint it to a specific color?

Any ideas on color are also welcome. The car itself is black.

Many thanks in advance!

better off buying some new rims and selling the originals
The standard wheels are pretty crappy really - not made for the british climate and bloody heavy - get a nice set of lightweights wink

Hi Lajos,

Your wheels are polished alloy, not Chrome. They can be refurbished if the damage is on the rim.
I will ask the bodyshop about having them painted and let you know if it is possible.
