If I recall, it was Friday past. I caught up with a yellow Corvette just after Elgin in Moray-shire, heading towards Inverness on the A96.
Car looked the mut's nutts from behind. Anyone around here own it?
If so, I was in the dark green TVR Chimaera that tailed you all the way to Inverness.
I was waiting for you to put me to shame on the numerous overtaking manouvers we both,...erm... took advantage of! But yer 'vette didn't really ( and I'm not looking for a slagging match )impress that much.
I was just curious as to what's under the bonnet and what are the performance figures for the car?
Maybe you were just being sensible, in which case, fair enough, as it is a dangerous bitch of a road.
Just curious!
Regards, (and hopefully see you again sometime)

Can`t have been me! - I was heading South to the Fighting Torque Sprint at Wattisham.

Sorry the Corvette driver did not impress you in your TVR! - maybe he was restraining himself whilst on the public road - a lot of accidents up that way these days!!!

Mind you, think I managed to impress quite a lot of TVR owners myself, with my own efforts in the Corvette down the strip at `Fighting Torque` on Sunday last - at a rough count I must have impressed well over 30 TVR owners in a one shot!
Never do things in small measure - that`s my motto!biglaugh

You should check out the results, It`ll give you a good idea of how your TVR performs vs the Corvette outwith the restricions imposed by the public road - my car was joint seventh - www.fightingtorque.org
You may have to register on the site, to view the results.smile - cheers

There is a chap that lives in Aberdeen with a Yellow C5 ZO6 (02 plates iirc), an older fella so maybe not as vigorous a driver. Wrt performance my C5 can keep up with my mates 450 chim so reckon the Z06 should be quicker, as usual depends on the drivers abilities etc wink

ps must have sounded good, two V8's heading up those roads biggrin
