Importation of untitled car

Has anyone experience of the import of an "untitled" car.?
What paperwork is provided other than the dealer sales invoice, and is this sufficient for DVLA registration.(post SVA, Customs clearance form etc.)
My previous experiences has always related to pre-owned cars.
I assume that since a car is "untitled" and exported, then the vehicle will not come with their equivalent of our log-book (title document).

Not sure you will be able to do this as without a title you won't be able to export it from the USA.......you may have to title it in the state where you buy it, that is what I had to do with my new 2003 Z06......also I couldn't buy it my mate in the US had to buy it and title it before it could be shipped to me as a "secondhand" car.
