Hmm. Isn't it still Chav Central with all the Slack Power mob?
I supported the first event and that was bad enough...
What is the on-track behaviour like? Don't want my Vette getting side-swiped by some baseball cap-wearing mouth breather in his bodykitted Nova!
He would have to be going pretty fast to side swipe you........unless of course you are lapping him!I supported the first event and that was bad enough...

It is a Chavtastic event but usually we are on track with a group that know what they are doing for example last year there were a buch of Skylines on track with the Corvettes.
99% of the track users are better behaved than at the Classic & Sports Car day for example at Castle Combe. It is highly unlikely you will encounter any problems but as they say "motorsport can be dangerous"!
Trax is a chance to show the baseball cap fraternity what a proper car with mods should look like.......

It maybe a bit chavvy but at least they are into cars. It attracts a younger crowd but they appreciated seeing my Diablo last year. I like the event as it is a complete change from the Corvette/Viper world which can feel abit insular at times.I supported the first event and that was bad enough...

Well Nigel has talked me into going, so I'll see you there!
We supported the very first one back in 98 or 99 with my then-nascent Skyline GTR register.
I remember being stupefied by the sight of the Orion Owners' club stand which featured a 1.8i Ghia up on ramps with a mirror underneath showing how clean it was...
Still, it takes all sorts I suppose.

I'm working that weekend Think I'm free for both the silverstone race and the Belgium trip/race though.
Pleased you can make Zolder, Dieter also wants to go so atleast I won't be Billy No Mates! What an eventful day!
Managed to get locked out of my car and miss both track sessions I had booked and paid for.
The RAC managed to get my mechanical key from my centre console so I could let myself back in.
Then Dieter locks his keys in his car the same afternoon!
It was a bad day for black C6 Corvettes, but luckily James Tillyard from Stratstone managed to give some good advice over the phone and we accidentally managed to open the car without resorting to the nice man from the AA breaking his lock.
All's well that end's well as I managed to buy another session (no money back for the two I missed though ) and finally got out on the GP circuit at 4pm. One brief stoppage, but excellent fun anyway and my car seemed quicker than most of the cars in my session.
Also managed a 4.2s 0-60 run which doesn't sound that impressive until I saw that mad "fastest street legal car in the country" drag Vauxhall thing, only managed a 3.9s.
In fact my Z06 turned out to be quicker than a 599GTB, Carrera GT and 997 turbo.

David, Saw you out on track and in the queue for the 0-60, the vette sounded awesome on track. In fact my Z06 turned out to be quicker than a 599GTB, Carrera GT and 997 turbo.
For reference, the drag Vauxhall thing put 3 passes in, a 3.59, a 3.96 and a 3.23... given a few more passes to get the launch sorted, I dare say Andy would have driven it down into the 2's...

Well done! and with a dodgy gearbox too! - How is the gearbox? In fact my Z06 turned out to be quicker than a 599GTB, Carrera GT and 997 turbo.
Missing a track day so that I can help my girlfriends brother move house and then getting called up for technical advice to rub in the fact that I'm not there wasn't the nicest way to spend a sunny Sunday. However, I have found a genuine reason to have an escalade - I don't think that there is another removal van that can get to 60 in 6.5 seconds whilst air conditioning your backside
I had free tickets to Goodwood on Friday also, but was too busy at work to use them...Hopefully I can make it to Cheekys event on Friday (if it is still going ahead)
A bit of advice to C6 owners - switch off the passive locking option on your DIC, then you're less likely to get locked out.
