Insurance, gulp!!!

Bought a 2004 C5 Z06 yesterday and have been trying to sort out the insurance this morning. £500 with a £700 excess was a bit more than I expected from MCE. By the way, I'm 40 with full ncb and a SP30. £500 is very good but the excess was a big shock.

£500 would be OK (if not a little high), but the £700 is ridiculous... let us know how you get on!

My ZR1 and Cadillac - and as I like to mention 64 valves, 10.3 litres, 730hp and 16 cylinders between them - cost £338 and £300 each to insure... with MCE. Each on 7500 miles.

My very modified 2003 C5 Z06 is only £400 on a limited policy, can't remember what the excess is, my stock one with unlimited mileage was £500 again can't remember the excess, but both are / were insured with A-Plan who advertise on PH, just click on the link at the top of the forum.
