Hi peeps,

Just bought a 06 c6 in atomic orange. It has a ZL465bhp performance pack fitted. Is there any way the lag can be reduced on the paddle shift, by computer etc. Thanks.

Bear in mind it's a conventional slushbox auto with manual override so is never going to shift as fast as a DSG type transmission. Having said that, the one I drove gave plenty quick downshifts. There are some reports that upshifts are a bit slow but does that really matter? Shifting in either direction I found that modulating the throttle (much as you would have to do in a manual) made everything work very nicely.

Yes, you can firm up the shift logic of any ECT auto by tinkering with the program. There is an inevitably a trade-off in smoothness and durability. You'd need to find a real expert to risk tinkering and I doubt there are many in UK.

I think I'll leave the paddle shift alone as there sounds as though there could be complications if tinkered with. Don't suppose it's so bad though, would say about half a second to a second lag but will try what you say usa and jiggle about with accel. when shifting.
