Please book me in with my C6 Z06. It will be interesting to see how the car performs compared to our Diablo that we brought along last year. Whole family coming along so 5 for food please. Many thanks. Martin O'Neill

I would love to be able to take the trophy off Tristram and wreak my revenge, but unfortunately The Beast is going in to my race shop to get the Penske coilovers, Brembos and harnesses installed ready for the Nurburgring in a couple of weeks time.

However, part of the makeover will include fitting 18in wheels with Toyo R888s, so roll on the next drag event... wink

It's not Tristram that you would have to take the trophy off, its VHR and that was won with no traction last year.

Unfortunately it's all talk until you do it.

If Tristram can get 12's out of a stock C5, imagine what he could do with something more powerful!

OK
Just as an update.

The prestigious Fastest Kid in the Valley trophy is being hand crafted this weekend and will go to the quickest Vette on the night. No expense has been spared in producing this cup - and I really mean that.

Steve Charnock (5USA) is also providing a further prize again this year for the most impressive unmodified car

The cost will be £30 per car to run and the "BBQ" supper will be £10 per person.

Please remeber that for non racers, access to the start line is extremely limited - access to the food however is not...beer

So far there are 12 Vettes confirmed - don't be shy guys and gals - this could be your evening of glory. bow

How often do you get a chance to put the pedal to the metal without a (speed) scamera looking at you. sonarcop

It's a fun night out- you can run as slow or fast as you like - run by Vetteheads for Vetteheads.

Weather permitting I will be there to defend the Fastest Corvette in the Valley Trophy which as Michael explained is a hideous piece of plastic tat, but it's the title that is more important than the award marking such wink

Er...how are you going to get the car to Shoreham if you are fitting slicks or are you planning on having a support vehicle?

Ok, ok, I'll postpone the vital suspension work needed on The Beast and come along then. Can't have Nigel getting complacent, can we? wink

Eric, are you bringing the other Lingenfelter for some team intimidation?

Must remember to get the clutch fluid changed!

Yeah, that was a jinxer wasn't it? "Here take some HD video of my totally foregone conclusion victory" followed by my worst time of the day by over a second! laugh

Where and when exactly does this event take place and until what time?
Won't traffic getting there be a pain with lots of school holidays starting etc?
