Hi all,

I've been considering the purchase of a new car now for a couple of years but just haven't been able to find a car that ticks all of the boxes. After a good few weeks trawling the many Vette forums I've decided that the C5 Z06 is the car for me. smile

I live close to Newcastle in the n.east and to say that Vettes are thin on the ground up here is a bit of a understatement. Can you lucky C5 and especially C5 Z06 owners give me an insight on your first impressions when driving one of these cars?

thanks smile

Great performance, excellent handling, good brakes, steering is too light and the gear change is way too long unless a quickshifter has been fitted.
Car is also economic to run, cheap to insure and practical to own.

Just done 1600 miles in my 2003 in a week. Brilliant - loved every minute of it. Got stuck for hours in Le Mans traffic and opened it up on the Autoroute - it was perfect in either circumstance and everything in between.

My 7th Corvette and my 3rd C5 - the best Vette I've owned by far.
