Hey, All,
So I have a UK C5, which has those butt ugly fog-light reflectors on the rear end. I've also owned an american import, which didn't have these. Are the reflectors a requirement for an MOT? I know the fogs are (my US import had a low fog inbetween the exhausts), but not sure about the reflectors?
As I'm blacking out my entire car (done the windows and wheels already), I'd like to tint the lights too, but the can says "Do not spray the reflectors" - I'm not bothered if they're not a requirement, but if they are, I'll have to reconsider... :-S
Cheers,
Col.

I don't think the existence of reflectors is an MoT item. (If you had them and they were broken it might cause problems though.)
A blacked-out car could well get a pull from Bib. I understand they carry specimen tints in their cars and can check at the roadside whether your black-out is legal or not. I think this is why you see limo's etc with dark rear windows but relatively clear front side windows. Windscreen is obviously a big no-no.

Why don't you remove them, and fill with glass fibre, body filler and a paint.
They really do spoil the back end of any Euro'vette.
That is one of the main reasond I would NOT buy a Euro'vette.
I have the Euro tail lights, red over clear with amber bulbs, my reversing lights are vertical either side of the licence plate. looks good.
However I will be reverting back to the "all red" but I am going for the LED type.
They really are the dogs danglies.
Simply fit a small red fog between the centre exhausts, not 100% legal as it does not meet the angle of view,To be safe you can mount the for on a bracket to bring it level with the exhausts, remember bottom edge of the fog to be 250mm or higher.

Also - I'd be seriously wary about the red indicators thing. In my experience, the police will "turn a blind eye" to a lot of stuff, but I got nailed with my 1982 Corvette (my first one) when I replaced the amber lenses with red ones.
Shame really - I'd love some of those LED lamps too. I've seen "Euro style" versions, but never seem 'em lit up to see if they have yellow indicators...?
