Firstly a big thank you to everyone who turned up. We were lucky with the weather all weekend and tow days of racing culminated in a final never to be forgotten!
Best times achieved according to the tickets that were handed in were as follows: ( If they are wrong or we have forgotten anyone, I apologise!)
In no particular order
Richard Ross (ZR1) 12.21
Andy (Silver C5) 13.67
Chris Cleland (C3) 14.25
Steve Borland (C3) 14.20
Paul Sharp (C3) 14.83
Den Reynolds (C3) 11.08
Alan Lewis (ZR1) 13.38
Tris Reed (C5) 12.88
Dave Tubbs (C5ZO6) 12.63
David Yu (C6ZO6) 11.69
Nigel Dobbie (C5ZO6) 13.11
Adrian Bown (C4) 12.00
Dan Thomas (C4) 14.01
Lyn Evans (C5) 14.19
Everyone had goods runs and everyone had a problem or two. The track was excellent - super sticky but a few folk were bogging down, some too much wheelspin, some with technical problems. All good fun drag racing stuff!
The Shoot Out went down to the wire. Nige had electronic cut out problems and couldn't really get on it despite setting fastest terminal speed on one of his runs so the potential final of C5 ZO6 TT against C6 ZO6 Lingenfelter didn't happen. It was going to be a foregone conclusion as David's black beauty was bound to win it. BUT!!!!!! Everyone forgot about Tris. He put in his best ever time of 12.88 to pip David at the line. In fairness David was having clutch problems and he was very gracious in defeat! the grin on Tris face stretched from ear to ear as he was given the Winner's trophy.
Other awards were Most Consistent Driver - this went to Lynn Evans who pounded up and down the strip all day within hundredths of 14.5 each time and the Fastest Reaction Time went to Dan Thomas in his C4.
Big thanks to Alan Lewis and Richard Ross, Pete and Ali Sansbury for all their help over the weekend.
Shall we do it again next year!?!?!? Answers on a postcard please
What about a Corvette Viper shootout?

Great day out, BIG THANKS TO STEVE for organising event and weather.
Must say the final between David and Goliath (Tristram) was what knockouts are all about, nerves of steel and a cool head needed, well done Tristram.
Anyway better luck next time Mr Yu and any chance of seeing the video that you asked my son to film or has it mysteriously dissappeared.
Note Team Tekwiz have been down to the Gossman and hopefully will be back up to full power in time for Shoreham.

edited for correctness! I'm sorry, but as the video was shot in HD, I've been told it is totally incompatible with YouTube...
Anyway, I prefer the photos taken in the other thread!
And as Arnie said last night: <Terminator> I'll be back...
One of the professional photographers gave me his card on Sunday.
Here are his shots:
