I wonder if Darton sleeves would be the solution to that ? Though I have read that the LS1/LS6 block has a coolant passage between the bores whereas the LS2/LS7 doesn't so perhaps that is the difference that prevents the older blocks being used.
Dartons do have coolinbg passages between the bores as do early blocks. I prefer the ls1 block fitted with Darton sleeves.I've seen these heads on another forum and dealing with the company has been a problem according to some posters. For the cost it would be better imo to use forced induction.

Cant help thinking the followers and pushrods will get a hard time operating a pair of springs though.
The heads come with pushrods, they are specially strengthened.Boosted LS1 said:

What sort of problems? I have been looking at these for some time now with a serious view to getting them.G
I must say that when I first enquired it took Russ Arao 9 months to respond to my email ! A shame really as the product looks good. I'm not too keen on supercharging the C5 though due to the problems getting rid of the heat that is necessarily produced, especially important on a daily driver.

What heat ?A&A, ECS, and now the KB setups, do seem to pretty much tried and tested, and sued daily in much harsher weather conditions seen here in terms of temperatures.
Go for it....
