Just test drove the 2001 Z06 - coming off a Cerbera it does seem easier to drive fast, but I wondered can you turn off the traction control stuff?

And how easy are the Z06s to tune?

Simple to turn off traction press 1 button on console.

As to tuning it depends how capable you are, there are plenty of DIY mods that can add hp also many stages upto over 700hp if you have money and more expertise.

If memory serves me right the 2001 has 385hp but from 2002 to 2005 standard was 405hp, so get yourself a 2002 and immediately youve gained 20hp.

Theres many on here that have tuned there cars hopefully they will chip in helpfull info.

Once you get used to the corvette they can be driven very fast before they break free, a few track days will inspire your confidence.

Another usefull forum for tuning is corvette forum www.corvetteforum.com/ (usa but plenty of info)
