Hi guys,

New to site, after being recommended to try it by the cccuk - looks great!

I have a question...

I've just put a new set of wheels and tyres on my C5, but now there's no pressure sensors in them, and so the warning message comes on whenever you start the car. Is there any way to stop the message coming up?

Thanks,
Gary

Might be a good idea to change your login name unless you want unmerciful p1ss taking around Le Mans time

It may be possible to turn off the tyre sensor info on the DIC (drivers information centre) scroll through Options to see if it is listed. you could also check the interweb as I am sure you ain't the first to do this.

I didn't previously think you could de-activate either TPM or F45, especially on the older C5s.
Anyone got direct experience of doing this on a C5 from around 1999?

There is a way to reset them.

Some thing on the lines of.

lights on / off 5 times quickly
wait for the chime.
hold a big strong magnet next to each valve / tyre sensor
after a few seconds, there will be a chime.
move to the next,
repeat.
After the 4th sensor, hopefully you will get a double chime.

All done.
