I am never surprised at how insular our allies can be.!(or are we just theirs!)
They ARE the friendliest people on this earth, but in matters of international finance can be extremely unsophisticated.I was purchasing privately a low mileage black on black C6 and arranging bank/bank wire transfer, but the owner aired this on a forum and the garbage re security that ensued was unblelievable and p****d me off so much that he lost the sale (there are plenty of other cars out there)
Since this time (days) the $/£ rate has become 2.0058 (and rising)and I have now completed a deal for an 07 Le Mans blue convertible (without the red interior of my Z06 currently for sale)
May global warming long continue.

I'm quite amazed at some of the crass stupidity people post on the US forums - I read a thread that started with two elderly french people admiring some guy's C6 and then quickly degenerated into a pro-Bush anti-french tirade.

Another good one to find is the 'roof lifting' thread about the back of the convertible roof lifting up slightly due to air pressure at speeds over 140 mph on the autobahn.
How dare the Europeans criticise the Corvette (for this read the USA and national pride)
was the main response!
