400bhp for £51,285Chevrolet is releasing 250 ‘Victory Edition’ Corvette coupés to celebrate the success of its race team in recent years. The limited edition coupés are based on the standard C6 road car with its 400bhp LS2 6.0 litre V8 (not the storming Z06), with either a manual or automatic gearbox available.

The cars are only available in either black or ‘velocity yellow twincoat’ and all have Competition Grey alloy wheels; a bodycoloured rear spoiler is also fitted. The interior has had a typical limited edition makeover, with a choice of two-tone leather seats depending on the exterior colour chosen. The luxury pack is standard, with its sat nav and heads up display.
Corvette racing has won more than 50 international GT races since making its debut in 1999, with 5 class victories at Le Mans between 2001 and 2006.
Expect to pay £51,285 for the manual car, and £53,685 for the paddle shift auto.

The UK price is actually £49999 (manual) or £52399 (automatic).
In addition to the items mentioned, each car has a unique badge and certificate, carbon interior trim detailing, embroidered corvette flags on the headrests and gunmetal door sill plates.
Within the purchase price of the car there is a day at a Corvette Performance Training centre in Europe.

Saw one of these up at the PDI centre. Very nice!
I particularly like the full width rear spoiler which I'm sure must be far more effective than the token effort my Z06 has.
The interior is much better with the carbon-look (not real CF) panels and two tone red/black.
I'm also a real fan of Competition Grey wheels, although I much prefer the style of the Z06 split spokes.

I saw the full width rear spoiler on the Ron Fellows special edition Z06 the other day and it looks like something that has been stuck on, the fit gap is all over the place.

It really is a shame that the UK can not get one of these in RH drive. You see a lot of C6 Corvettes in Switzerand, and Germany, and I would bet Chevy could sell a lot more of them in the UK if only they would make an honest attempt to put the steering wheel on the right side.

I quite like the fact that the majority of people over here are scared of LHD. I keep telling them LHD is a massive problem to put them off getting one
It keeps our cars a lot rarer on the UK roads. I see mny more common old RHD Ferarris, Lambos and Porsches than Vettes in the UK - and "that's the way (ah ha ah ha) we like it (ah ha ah ha)" Yes, you guessed.... off to a 70's disco tonight......

Yeah, I can imagine it looks pretty wobbly on a white car. Looked ok on the black Victory I saw though, and, as I said, it must provide a lot more downforce.
I for one am glad they only do LHD.
For the last few years I've driven Twin Turbo Supras. When I bought my first one ti was actually a fairly rare and exclusive car. (Hard to believe nowadays I know) Then when The Fast and The Furious came out we (and lots of the owners club) thought 'great - this is going to make our cars the envy of loads of people now'.
Look what popularity has done there! Every chav and his dog has one now. I now drive a vette. Chavs don't want them because of the LHD thing and they're probably scared of the availability of parts etc. Let's keep it that way.
