First step modz - it didn't take long
Discussion
Despite saying i wouldn't tamper with it - i've ordered my first set of modz
Starting simple - easy to fit etc
Was thinking about Dynatech Supermaxx exhaust system - but decided to do that next, so in the mean time:
Vararam VR2B Intake
Diablo Sport Predator Programmer
BM Ripper Shifter
(also got the CAGS bypass plug)
might then go the supercharger route next with a suspension upgrade - oh dear !
LOL - yep it's beautiful
but i don't want to do a hood modification
so looking at a Vortech Supercharger
www.corvettegarage.com/product/vortech-supercharger-for-c5-and-z06-corvette.html
Though I know someone who's just fitted the procharger -so might look at that
Any thoughts ?
The blower is the same (for the Vortech and Carroll kits) but the bracket, fuelling and tuning are all different.
There's no intercooler with the Carroll kit whereas there is with the procharger - Carroll uses water cooling. Hence the procharger will generate more HP for the same boost. From memory the procharger has its own oil supply whereas the Vortech, you have to tap into the oil pan.
Is your's auto or manual?
