Karting at Crawley!

Sunday 22nd April (evening) commencing 6pm at Team Sports (Crawley).

Check out the TeamSport website at www.team-sport.co.uk, especially the Team Racing choices, starting with Team Challenge. We are hoping to go for the “Team Challenge 75” (18 - 30 drivers) although “Hot Lap 120” has been suggested, but we need 35 - 50 drivers for this one. This would be a 2 hour event with a qualifying 'F1 style' qualifying lap...

All CCCUK members and Corvette Pistonheaders welcome!

Full payment will be requested in advance of this event, once we know roughly how many will be competing. Depending on numbers, the cost will be between £33 and £53 per driver (more=cheaper!).

If you want to be included PLEASE PHONE OR EMAIL LEE ROGERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (details below).

Looking forward to a great evening!

Just found e-mails from Lee in Spam Folder, have just circulated to Surrey Mob so hopefully should get some response now. I know we have a couple of very keen go karters as they have own karts, looks like a great event, just confirming my diary and should be around for this one.

Why's that? Are they,

(a) Very small and light?
(b) Experienced?
(c) French?
(d) Using the new LS7 engined kart?
(e) None of the above.

thanks lee for organising an excellent event.we worked out my wife katrina hasn't sat in a kart for 8 years,so we think she did really well, although after 15 minutes of racing she did look a bit tired.the corvette boys do like some on track action,we're all comparing bruises today! i'm sure there was something in the drivers briefing about karting being a non contact sport.......... ? I did enjoy standing on the corner watching the cars pull gently out and accelerate slowly up the road...excellent,they sounded awesome! also we enjoyed the earlier model 'vette which kept overtaking us on the A24 on the way home,i don't know who you were, but your car looked and sounded fab! thanks again lee for the event.

I'd just like to add my thanks too.

All of us at Stratstone Corvette Park Lane had a great time and would certainly be interested in something similar on future occasions.

Stephen.
