Thinking of selling my C3
Discussion
Hi peeps,
New to the forum. Just a bit of advice needed really. I have a 77 vette and buckskin colour with 65k miles. Always kept in a heated carpeted garage. I have been the owner since 1981 and bought it from Corvette Kingdom. Excellent condition. I never use the car except for starting it and moving up and down my long drive every 2 weeks.
Car is original (even radio) apart from s.s. exhausts fitted 10 years ago. Just wondering what the car is likely to fetch as someone else could get the benefit of the car which is what it needs. Don't know about putting pics up as I'm not a computer boffin.

Is the buckskin the colour of the exterior or the interior? If exterior then I've a feeling this may be an undesirable colour in the marketplace and may affect the value. However, if it's the original paint and in good condition then this may be irrelevant.
Mid-70s C3s tend to fetch anything from £4k up to £9k. Hard to tell what yours would be worth.

Post 75 C3's particularly 76-77 are the lowest value cars mainly because they were the most built and also the lowest performance.
I would agree with Lusifer's valuation that a really good low mileage matching numbers car is obviously worth a bit more but £4k-£8k would about cover all cars except are really survivor.

The car is mint on top and underneath, not the normal rubbish thats had 50 owners, mine has had 2. I have had the car for 26 years and never been abused. Been offered a lot more than £9k. just wondered what you experts thought.
Sounds like a "survivor" the price in the US could be as high as $18K which equates to £9k here. Some people are out there looking for a car like this but the best place to advertise it will be on th Corvette Club website. www.corvetteclub.org.uk
It might also be worth writing a piece for the club magazine detailing the cars history and your ownership experience, take some nice pictures of the car and send them to the editor as he is always looking for stories for the magazine. As your car is not known by the club or doesn't appear to be from your posting, there is bound to be someone out there that would be interested in buying it.
Watch out for some of the dealers trying to rob the car from you for stupidly low money as it will be on there web sites for stupidly high money the next day!
Hi Vetteheadracer
Joined the ccuk way back in 1982 after I bought my vette from Ray at Corvette Kingdom (So sorry to hear he passed away) what a gent. I lapsed membership in early 90's re joined in 02 but let that lapse as well. Originally put a write up on her in 1985. It's a very unusual manufacturing colour of buckskin fiero and a limited colour.
At the time of buying her I had a camaro z28 year 1970 which i did a regular trip to the pod in her and always in the high 10's. Sold the camaro but kept hold of my vette. Been offered £13k by local garage for her, but did'nt know what they fetch. Even so I think will keep it in the family now an I suppose she is part of the family after all.

Wasn't my valuation. I wouldn't have a clue except to say as much as anyone will pay who wants one.
