Hey, Folks,

I couldn't resist it anymore - I've bought a 2001 Corvette C5 in black and I pick it up tomorrow!

Got rid of my last one (2000 plate red manual) in 2004, but have found nothing to replace it yet. Can't quite afford the C6 Z06 at the moment, but I figure this will do until I find the money!

So - I wanna do some stuff to this. Putting Z06 suspension on it first off, binning the run-flats, and probably doing a Diablosport predator.

Also, wanna install C5R headlights to update it a bit - does anyone in the UK stock these for a reasonable price? Also, if I order them from the US, can the beam direction be changed so they're legal on UK roads?

Cheers in advance for any info!

The C5R lights are adjustable when you install them so changing them to point the other way shouldn't be a problem.

Hey, Vetteheadracer!

Glad to see you're still around. What was the final power output of your twin turbo monster, then?

Col.

"Current power" is 650 BHP but I have a couple of mods to do to improve this to nearer 4 figures......

Hey Col, welcome back.

I've got a set of Specter Werkes C5R lights sitting in my lounge as we speak. Just waiting for some adjusters and I'll be putting them in. Installation looks pretty simple but may take a while. Only need to drill one hole and they originals can go back in no problem.

Just happy to have been of service Col. If the smile lasts, you won't need headlights of any description.
