Blue Devil.......
Discussion
Got a fax from my German dealer confirming my order for the new Blue Devil.
Says August/September `08. Only Blue at the moment, possible colour options later. I think you`d have to have a `Blue` Devil, some how a `Red` Blue Devil does`nt sound right!
500 first year total production including the US, with two official UK cars. No more cars availble for sale in europe, all gone!
No details on spec, but leaked pictures showing more carbon fibre and ceramic brakes, combined with 650hp, well, does it for me!
Took the mighty Zed out the other (dry) day, hav`nt used it for a week or two, think its getting faster! Hard in second gear off an island, into third, passing one car in the process- think it made him jump,(he had his window down, flaps WIDE open!).
This kind of performance + another 150, holy s**t!
I am surprised that a German dealer has such specific information. I was at a European dealer conference in Spain only five weeks ago with the head of Corvette Europe and the head of GM USA / Europe relations and no such information was given, even though we were discussing Cadillac and Corvette model changes up to the end of 2008.
As far as I am aware, no European dealer has been given the option of ordering any Blue Devils.
Unless it looks radically different/better, I don't think I'll be swapping.
It's not hard to get a Z06 to 650bhp with turbos or a supercharger and Stoptech are already about to release a carbon ceramic brake system that is supposed to be better than the £10k option I've ordered on my F430 Spider!
And if it still looks like a C6 at the end of 2009/2010, it will be seriously dated IMO.
Having said that it could be the last great Corvette that GM will be allowed to make if the eco-weenies increase their stranglehold on governments, which looks likely...

Ah, but you have taken orders! And just 2 for the UK would suit me fine...
I have taken verbal/written orders. And if the information on this thread is correct then I might have a problem.
Better get on the blower to Guido and order a few more Escalades from GM and sweeten them up for a few extra cars
The current bartering rate seems to be 10 Escalades for an extra Z06 or 2x Victory edition C6.
Is anyone here in need of a 6.2 V8 SUV?
