You may remember my suggestion to the CCCUK to acquire a corvette C5 for its members to use for track days etc etc. I think youve found a perfect candidate, now if we can can lobby C5noragtop maybe he can provide funds. (This is a real race car, no replica)

Crikey - that is cheap! Only thing I'm not sure about is the engine spec - didn't say a lot but I wondered if it was a bit 'stock-ish'

I'm comparing the price to rally cars, ex WRC motors I think have a value in excess of double that!

I can't remember the engine spec, but my abiding memory when having a passenger ride around Brands Hatch indy circuit with Ricky Cole driving it was "I am going to die" he was only going about 7/10th as he had binned the car quite badly in the morning with Steve Havelock in the passenger seat hence the wing from the Blue car and also it was a cold and damp December day.


This was me trying to get into the hastily installed passenger seat whilst trying not to castrate myself on the rollcage.

No going back!

I have no idea how easy or if it would be possible to convert the car to a full C5-R rather than GT2 spec.
