Under cover BMW (A3 Yesterday)

I joined the A3 going north yesterday afternoon at Hook, and noticed a car stranded on the opposite dual carriageway as the road goes down to go under the Hook Underpass. The occupants were I think making their way on foot up onto the Hook Roundabout.

I was then overtaken by a police traffic car that pulled in tight in front of a BMW (undercover cops) these two cars pulled over a motorist into the slip at Fullers Way North.

I was thinking to my self that they seem to have their priorities wrong: - there is a car in a dangerous position on a major trunk road requiring assistance but they are preoccupied chasing down someone (single occupant in the car) that requires two cars and four cops to catch.

My premonition came true and upon my return journey half an hour later, their they were still messing with their traffic stop while the broken down car going south had been involved in a RTA being rammed by a lorry.

Well done plod perhaps we could learn something from the Americans after all :-

Our Police are a law unto themselves, luckily for most of us if you travel on the motorways you are extremely unlikely to see a police car except one attending an RTA.

I bet the BMW driver was a "villian" who was likely to resist arrest so that was why the whole of Hampshire Constanbulary needed to apprehend the driver.

I think our police are wonderful!
I was recently pulled over by Gwent's finest driving a rather colour prominent 840BMW having followed me for over 2 miles " you were weaving, SIR"
Reminds me of national service preliminary square bashing for officers when the RSM would say:
Gentlemen, you will call me Sir,and I will respond by calling you Sirs, the difference is that I expect you to mean it!

I was sitting in a Q in NW London last week when plod walking down the road pointed at me and then at the side of the road (active bus lane). I ignored her at first as 1) I thought she was pointing to somebody else and 2) I dont understand pointing as a new way the police talk to us. Anyways I couldn't get into the bus lane and stop by her feet if I wanted to as i was in bumper to bumper traffic and I wouldnt have anyways as it was an active bus lane. So she comes over and lectures me on the fact the front number plate was dirty (this is NW London remember - uno zero crime) How she could see it God only knows but I pointed out that I drive over 1000 miles a week and that it was snowing last week and that = dirty car. 'funny how the rest of the car is clean' she replied. I just looked at her - didnt need to say a word. She did a double take (last time the car was cleaned was by the dealer on the 75K service- it was on 91k), mumbled and left.
