Hi all,

I've decided it's time to come back into the Corvette fold, so I'm looking for a little guidance on the sort of discounts people have been getting on UK supplied cars. Comparing UK list prices with US prices (even allowing for Import duty and VAT) it looks like GM are being at least as unrealistic as when they started importing the C5...

What kind of discounts have you guys been getting? (I'm thinking of a Convertible Auto).

Thanks,
Gary

By the way... Just did a forum search on the reg of my old C5 (Y8 ODY) and found a couple of hits - spooky or what!? I sold it back in 2003 'cos I got sick of having the diff replaced! Be interesting to know who's got it now and whether it still leaves pools of diff oil wherever it goes ;-)

Our demonstrator Corvettes start at £36999 (2 month old Coupe), with new, unregistered showroom cars available from £39999. If you want to factory order a car then it would be £45-58,000, depending on specification.

Bear in mind that only UK specification cars come with Thatcham 1 rating from the factory and UK spec headlights, as well as the 3 year Europe wide warranty and free collection and delivery for servicing (wherever you are in the country)

Hi Gary,

It was a red C5 convertible and you lived in Lychpit, Basingstoke......I still have the yellow C5 Z06 and also had the black C4 and lived at the end of your road!

Do you still work for IBM?

Hi Nigel,

Yep - still at IBM and still in Bas. Haven't seen your Z06 around for ages - guess you've moved?
