hehe

Actually, no, these were genuine shots. yes
I did have a rear spoiler image (not a great one) but I'm not convinced it's the finished
article as it's more of a lip spoiler and not what you or I would call a wide racing wing! nono

James / Stephen - care to chip in?

It's going to be an interesting marketing point - Ron who?

If you don't follow the ALMS then you'll never have heard of the guy.
Will we ever see a Tomas Enge DB9??

The spoiler isn't massive. It is a lip about 2-3" tall running along the back edge of the car.

I doesn't seem to be on Cubans photo.

It needs side exhausts too, as well as a hefty diffuser!

Looking at that link the "full width rear spoiler" at last becomes visible in body colour with the high level brake light inset. Wonder whether it's a whole new rear panel moulding or another stick-on jobby?

Have a look at the C6 gear ratios on www.corvetteactioncenter.com:80/forums/showthread.php?t=92361
No wonder the new 6-speed auto feels darned quick. If I've understood the table correctly, the automatic is so low geared it should accelerate like the starship Enterprise!

Look at the final drive ratio - It actually has similar overall gearing to a non Z51 C6. I always find the gearing unusually tall when stepping straight out of a manual C6 into the paddleshift, but when comparing with the 4 speed the car is always in its ideal power band with every gear change.

Is it time for a new car yet 5USA?

Look at the final drive ratio........

That was what surprised me. Here are the overall gearings for each car,

Base/Z06
1st 9.10
2nd 6.09
3rd 4.45
4th 3.42
5th 2.53
6th 1.71

Z51
1st 10.16
2nd 7.08
3rd 4.89
4th 3.42
5th 2.43
6th 1.95

A6
1st 10.32
2nd 6.04
3rd 3.92
4th 2.94
5th 2.18
6th 1.72

The Z51 is low geared in 2nd and 3rd followed by a relatively large gap to 4th (as it has to have the same 1:1.0 ratio as other manuals)

A6 has the lowest 1st gear which caught my eye followed, as you say, by gears 2 to 6 which are roughly similar to the base car and Z06.
