Just wanted to know has anyone booked anywhere up yet or made any plans for Le Mans this year?
Any idea how many of us are going?

Organised and going! Had a look at the 2006 DVD over Xmas and it brought back all the good memories. Great to hear those Vettes growl again.

Tell us more - their last email to me (22 November) said "... really sorry to say, but I still have no clue about my budget situation for 2007". We are encouraged to register on www.corvettelemans.com - the more that register the more chance there is of something from Corvette Europe.

The C5/C6 Registry are coming over but not with their cars this time.

I booked with P&O Tuesday to Monday - £42 return, staying on Beausejour and taking the new Vette (which should arrive in a couple of weeks!)

Have not booked yet, but shall be going for the first time this year. Looks like I shall book with www.speedchills.com using their Private Members Club. The lure of a full English breakfast cooked by someone else swung it for me. Camping at Beausejour. Hope to get booked by the end of this week.

I shall travel out on the Thursday and back on the Monday, possibly Dover-Calais with P&O. Just waiting to see who is going in the passenger seat at present.

We're booked on to the same Eurotunnel as Vetteheadracer. Staying on in France until the following week.

If anyone reading this was part of the group that stayed at the Le Port St Aubin, Morrannes hotel last year and wants to stay there again can you let me know asap as I have people on the waiting list. (VHR & V7TTE - I've received your confirmations)

The C5/C6 registry are coming over from the States and will de driving around in a dozen or so new C6s so I assume Corvette Europe have laid on some sort of hospitality for them - plebs like us may have to wait a while longer yet. This also assumes that Corvette will be racing again.

Much as I would like to, I'm afraid not - perhaps next year

Speed Chills put together a good operation there last year - you're right, sometimes a cooked breakfast is essential!. Some cold beer and shelter if it tips it down are pretty essential on Beausejour as well.

Yes, it makes Beausejour a bit more habitable - there's only a couple of catering places on there and none of them have shade, tv's etc. Last year we had an hour in the pits during the race thanks to their links to Creation as well. They're a friendly bunch, it's their fourth year there and they've learnt from previous events.
If you're travelling with all large group with all mod cons and a support vehicle it makes less sense as you'll be less likkely to use the facilities.
Oh - on that note - the toilets there are best used as a last resort!

Or used just after they have been cleaned in the morning only!
