Hello all,

So did Santa bring anything Vette related?

My Mum got me the '101 Projects for your Corvette, 1984-1996' from Motorbooks Workshop.

Although not directly Corvette - Sciencebird got me the latest Clarkson book - looking forward to reading that over the next week (it might have Vette's in it somewhere!)

Hope everyone had/is having a good day,

Fran

I got a pair of these:

I plan on removing those plastic fuel rail covers - permanently - & relocate the coil packs; trying to make that small block Chevy V8 engine look like a small block Chevy V8

I got Alan Staniforth's excellent book Competition Car Suspension, having used his Race and Rally Car Source Book for more years than I can remember, I can vouch for his credentials in explaining, in plain language, the details of working suspensions and how to set themm up. I've already got a new idea for an adjustable rear anti-roll bar for the vette!bounce

Got Richard Hammond's Supercar Calendar 2007 - it doesn't feature any rocket powered dragsters, but October is a Yellow C6 ZO6.

Also got two GMP 1:12 scale C5Rs which arrived yesterday. Thanks go to Mike Mercury (aka Tim) for his help with the shipping.

Thanks to meeting up with my bro in the Bahamas, I managed to collect my 1/24th black Z06, some race pads from the nice people at Hawk, a nice set of Z06 sill plates (yes Eric, I've got yours!) and the new US 2007 Corvette brochure which is a work of art.

Hope to get my re-worked Lingenfelter Z06 back from Ian Goss at the end of the week, which will be the best present of all!

Don't forget to look out for the new issue of Evo magazine next week, (10th Jan) that will feature a Driven piece on my LPE Vette!

I got a bent rear wheel, partly thanks to my own stupidity and partly down to black ice.

But the missus did get me a nintendo Wii which cheered me up.

Hi David, I saw the piece - very impressive stuff, all for the price of an extravagant 599 options list choice!! Dare I ask what went into the re-working of the Lingenfelter upgrades/ are they confident the missing horses will be found? Not that the gains were insignificant, infact, if they didnt claim the 616, im sure most would be more than impressed at what was achieved as it stood for the test. The performance figures were certainly eye opening... thumbup
