C6 Z06 owners... watch Fifth Gear tonight
Discussion
As some of you know, my LMB Z06 will be on Fifth Gear tonight at 8pm.
It promises to be an interesting programme and I don't think any owners who watch will be disappointed that they did.
I hope the cameras don't show up the scrape on the nose where someone has evidently reversed against it in a car park (Chas I need one of those sticky number plates to cover it up!).
And I REALLY hope my NTL service is back up again, after failing this morning...

in case you missed it...
Z06 beats F599GTB, 997TT, LP640 etc. to Best Fast Car on Fifth Gear.
If you can find the vid on the web, that's my LMB Z06 in the "studio" (warehouse).
Sadly Graham is ill, so www.c6z06.co.uk hasn't yet been updated, but he'll have it up and we'll have a link as soon as he can do it.

Interesting comments from the guy they presented the award to, where he was talking about it being important to them as it helps show the 'Vette as being a credible sports car here in the European market. They probably view their LeMans victories over the Astons in the same way . All good stuff.
Excellent! Good on Tiff!
What was hilarious was that the GM supremo was the only head honcho who was (supposedly) actually willing and available to receive the award, but Fifth Gear's puny budget only allowed them to go to Amsterdam rather than Detroit!
I'll chase them up next year to see if they really will do a piece on my LPE Z06.

Sorry for the delay folks, not feeling too good right now.
Here is the link, hope you enjoy it.

Not sure how hard they tried on that visa...
I know, but how ironic was it that the one guy who actually was available, they couldn't actually arrange to meet?
They know how unimportant they are, that's why they were turning the CEO's unavailability into a joke, but GM-guy (is it still Bob Lutz?) scuppered it slightly!
I see you gave up with a front plate altogether for the show!
Did you get to see any actual driving or was it just hanging around the warehouse all day?
I thought it was a shame they didn't put JP and TF in your car to show them why Tiff thought it was so great.
Good to see the C6 walk away with the award, and GM backing the reception of the award.
However, it's beena while since I've seen Fifth Gear - I can't believe how amateur the program looks! I thought it was a touch disrespectful to the manufacturers that they only sent a researcher, and one that just amanged to throw on some jeans and a jumper, but hay ho, I guess that's just my being an old git!

No driving... but I don't mind that at all!
