Went on a track day at Goodwood with the "Lotus on Track" people yesterday. If anyone is interested in noise, I have a standard exhaust and was measured at 92dB which was well inside the 98dB limit and meant I could play as hard as I liked all day long. .

Damp to start with and the track never did dry out fully so couldn't use the car to its full potential. This also meant that there were quite a few spinners towards the end as people pushed harder. Encountered another CCCUK member with a modified ZR1 who was quite a keen track day man. Due to the damp track he didn't feel able to be aggressive with power but thanks to being able to rely on the electronic crutch of active handling I felt much more confident and was able to go significantly faster I really found AH to be useful on two occasions, including a fairly major whoopsee at about 85mph ! driving

Surprising how many people came up and said I was going really quickly despite the above, and really enjoyed the wide-eyed look when they realised I was on standard road tyres ! I have some video which I hope to edit and put up later this week, but there may not be much of interest in it as I often started at the front of the queue so there was less overtaking to do !

Here's my first video. Doesn't take long to catch an Elise given a 10 second head start.

Yep - nice video.

Not sure that the Caterham driver knew what he was doing though, but I'm sure he enjoyed being taken over by a Corvette :-)

Must be great sitting in your wonderful, made for the track, handling-is-everything Caterham and get a Corvette blowing past you
