For those that need them, North Hants Tyres have just taken delivery of 4 Eagle F1 EMT rear tyres for the Vette. I have already reserved one so that leaves 3. These are the first available in the country for over 6 months, so if you need one (or more) grab them while they are there.yes

Just finished 2 busy nights and was on my way home to do some decorating. Would much rather have gone to V.W., but needs must. I hope to meet up with the crowd a bit more next year as the house has got to be finished by then (I hope)

I was quoted £369 plus vat, but due to being a CCCUK member and possibly because of getting one earlier this year, I got it for £318 including vat. The thing is, they have you by the short and curly's if you want one as they are the only supplier in the UK that have them and everyone has been trying to get them for 6 months or more. The only options are non-run flats or I believe that Bridgestone are doing compatible run flats. Anyone any experience of these?

I don't mean to question you, and I've not tried to order them so it could be rubbish, but a quick search shows up ...
Goodyear - 275/40 R18 [94Y] - Wrangler F1 EMT [Run Flat] £ 236.18

I've just spoken to a mate "in the business" and he said ...

Goodyear have no stock or arrival dates in this country, but bridgestones are available.

My experience of bridgestone are good for dry, not so good for wet.
I might call event tyres the weekend.

I have used Event in the past and found them to be very good and helpful. I actually got my front tyres from them a couple of months ago but they have not been able to get hold of the rears. The Wranglers that you mention are actually designed for a 4x4 use and not suitable for the Vette ( quote from Event) If you go for Bridgestone's, let me know how you get on a I may well go that route next time.

laugh I did wonder why they were called Wranglers. That's a hell of a sized tyre for a 4x4.

I'm looking into the Bridgestones. I'll let you know.
