Guys, your thoughts please !
I need a new set of 4 tyres for my C5. Ive decided to stick with run flats, as they are convenient, and I dont track the vehicle. My local tyre guy, who ive known for years and trust, suggests trying the Bridgestone REO 50 runflat as a much better tyre than the OEM fit F1s. He says they are a more high tech, later design and construction, and have much better ride and handling characteristics. They are also easy to get hold of in both sizes, unlike the F1 runflats. Have any of you guys tried them or do you have any other comments or thoughts on the matter before I buy the buggers?
Any help or advice appreciated. V8D

IIRC those Bridgestones are the BMW 7-series tyre. If you want to know how the BMW people are getting on with runflats just look at the BMW forum on Pistonheads. It all sounds very familiar on there.

When I got my tyres the Bridgestones were slightly cheaper than Goodyears but I still didn't fancy a £750 experiment! Personally I would stick with the Goodyears (Micheldever tyres generally have some in stock) or switch to conventional tyres. If you go the latter route you will enjoy the ride/handling improvement every time you drive the car.

PS I'm on Michelin conventionals from Micheldever. Very pleased.
