Hmm. The question will be whether enough people will pay $100k (no less than £80k over here) for a Corvette and whether the premium over the Z06 will be justified.

I agree that 650bhp will be the upper limit as to what a production FR car can handle, but for that price it will have to be a lot lighter (losing some creature comforts) and I hope a totally bespoke suspension (coilovers at last?).

I doubt I will have an immediate urge to trade my Z06 in, especially as in a few weeks time it will have 616bhp, but never say never...

" it's safe to assume that the "Blue Devil" will reach 60 in about three and a half seconds."

A bit like the Z06 then...

Certainly interesting.......and any new 'Vettes a good 'Vette in my book.

I'm sure it'll sell (in small numbers) despite the hefty price tag, although some bespoke bodywork wouldn't go amiss. That hood scoop will certainly need to be better integrated on the production model.

Hope you've made arrangements to extract the extra heat from under the hood and ordered a couple of spare clutches!

Should be a quick one!

It's certainly looks to be sitting lower than a Z06.

What does this engine mean for the LS7?

I can't even imagine how mine and Godzillas beasts will go after we mod up to 616bhp, like a bat out of hell I guess .... Will be interesting to put them up against a stock SS when one arrives.

mmmmm David and mods ... I keep hearing them sing "David me, David Yu, ahaaaaaaa there's no mod that he can't do" .... hehe

<Alan Partridge> AHhaaaa!

The real question is, who's gonna go first? I'm away the week the parts are arriving (16th October) so if you want to have your kit fitted first, be my guest! (I'll let Ian do mine properly after learning on yours! j/k)

And I'll watch both of your experiences before doing the same in 33 months' time!

Hopefully they'll restyle it. Can't quite see what all the fuss is about when Lingenfelter have been doing similar cars for years.

He he - lets go on this forum (see top) and show some support for Corvettes vs the non Corvette lot who are trashing our cars! (I did!)
