1979 L82 Corvette Prices

Hello all, I've been looking for a web site like this for a while. I am the third owner of a 79 Vette that is in pristine condition. The entire suspension was just reworked and the red paint is mint. The car has been in this country since 1984. OK, now my question, what is it worth here? I have seen such a wide array of prices but don't know where to go to get an average price.

89,000 miles, mint body, suspension
Refitted interior
New tires, original rims
runs great 1 year MOT and road tax
Import taxes all paid

Now the reason for the sale, We just celebrated the birth of our first child, a baby boy. Needless to say, the priorities have changed quite a bit. I'm not looking to get rich here but I would like to get some of the money back out of the car. I was thinking 7000 pounds? Am I too far off base? Please be honest, Thanks, Lee

Thanks, I'm going to get some pics this week and post it there. This car's been in country since 1984 and has full MOT and service history. It truely is nice, but not nice for our new baby....
