Leaving the Vette for a Month
Discussion
Hi All,
I am not going to be driving the C5 Vette for a month so I was wondering what i need to do to make sure its ok for when i get back.
Last time I left it for 3 weeks the battery discharged and needed to be jumped. Do you need to disconnect the battery at the -ve terminal to stop drain? How will this affect the alarm (obviously wont work) immobilizer and radio?
Thanks all

halfwits do a maintenance charger at a quite reasonable price that we have used on the vette for 3 week hols with no problems other than the leads aren’t quite long enough.
You probably don’t want to let the battery drain flat as that is a sure way of shortening its life, especially as some corvette battery’s are a bit iffy in the first place

I have a battery optimiser for my C4.
Got an Accumate with an adapter that plugs in to the cigarette lighter, about £50 with adapter I think.
