As Richard and Colin are standing down after 4 years as Regional Reps for Surrey, Rob Smirke and myself (David Evans) intend to stand for election as Surrey Regional Reps, obviously this does not preclude others from standing for election.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Richard and Colin for all the hard work they have put in to make The Surrey Region one of the best attended in the CCCUK:clap::clap::clap::clap:. The cruises and events were organised with military precision the “Dynamic Duo” always keeping their cool and never getting in a fluster.

They can now take a back seat and start to enjoy the rollercoaster ride and keep a watchful eye over us.

It’s a hard act to follow but between us and with the continued support of the members we intend to introduce some exciting days/weekends out and will continue with the high standards that you have come to expect.

So watch this space.

Dave & Rob

Note: :readit: “Surrey Region” is “Part of the CCCUK”

Is there an election as such? If so, do you lean to the left or the right? Will you be canvassing? Just a thought...

,Fair play to them ,they did a sterling job whilst in charge although it would of been good to see them at Robin Cooks funeral

At least I will be able to tell my grandchildren that I knew Cliffy before he went totally mad.

Rumours about me swinging left or right are unfounded and completely and utterly untrue, the party I attended was the Surrey Bell Ringers Annual Ball.

Like most people running for elections the canvassing (bribery) has already started, now if you would all like to send your lists I am sure they will be given careful consideration.

Shoebags's vote can be secured by copious quantites of white wine

My vote can equally be bought by some decent beer.....which is where the plan falls down somewhat as (the f)AIRMILE doesn't now how to sell decent beer.

I have to say that I feel the voting for this election is rigged.

Firstly it was carried out at The Fairmile last night where some of the electorate had been drinking and the rest couldn't see the voting paper clearly as it was dark.

The voting slip states you must select two from the following list yet there are only two candidates listed!!

The ballot was not secret as Mr Tekwiz stands over the elector.

All voting papers are vetted before going into the ballot box (there isn't one) and I actually saw one of the candidates change ticks to crosses on a slip.

I was that voter but I claim that any resemblance to Baldrick is only coincidental.

You should see the size of my turnip though !!
