Trading TVR Chimaera for C5 Corvette.
Discussion
Just looking to canvas opinions really. I’m considering a swap with my TVR Chimaera for a 98 C5 Corvette auto with 100k miles, I really like the look of the car, I’m used to owning cars that are a little awkward to live with but this is my first LHD car.
What do I need to be aware of? I’ve read a few buyers guides and the main thing I can see is regarding faults with a steering lock, but is there anything else I can need to look at beyond the standard classic/sports car stuff? The car is on aftermarket wheels so the run flats aren’t on anymore. I think it’s an import as there’s no fog light in the bumper - if it is I guess it’s the same sort of questions as when I bought my JDM cars?
I’m a bit of an armchair American car fan, Motortrend subscriber after finding roadkill about 6 or 7 years ago so this is a great opportunity for me to tick a car off my bucket list.

You could ask for help on the UK corvette club website.
They have a buyers guide.

Good choice, the C5's are typically a reliable, strong car. As mentioned, it's worth joining the UK Corvette Club to gain access to their buyers guide. A quick google and youtube search should reveal other guides. The C5 isn't so different from my C6, which has proven to be reliable given the mileage and track use mine gets.
