The C8 has grown on me and the technicals look pretty good, confirm as well as I get older!

However I enquired about ordering a C8 & a C8 Z06 to follow

Can’t say I got much help from the dealer! I was told check the Chevrolet UK Price list and if you want one send £2500 deposit. We have a demo but you CAN’t drive it due to insurance issues, great

Delivery will be 2024 ish for the C8 and they guaranteed that I would DEFINITELY NOT get a C8 Z06,ah thanks

So you try to spend £250k and that’s as good as it gets LMAO

Oh well

I ordered on the day Pistonheads ran an article on the C8 Corvette in Right Hand Drive back in June 2020... £2500 deposit paid that day. Delivery late 2021.

In late 2021 I was offered a build slot in Feb 2022 for delivery May 2022, but had to confirm my final spec that day, which I did.

Now I've been bumped back to a 2023 model year - these go into production in May, but who knows when mine might be built.

On the Z06 front, a recent article in the US said that Chevrolet has effectively closed the book on Z06 orders, as the waiting list is already 3-4 years. I'd suggest you'd be looking at 2024/2025 for any new C8 cars ordered now, even the base Stingray.

i get the impression ian allen are not committed to the brand, they dont have open days for new models, attend shows, know nothing of the success of the race cars, it doesnt help its housed in a tin shed selling ssangyongs, not a good advert for £100000 supercars

It seems ordering any new car these days is just a pain in the arse, anyway plenty of choice in the used market for immediate enjoyment!

This hasn’t helped the backlog of orders:

All those cars, can’t spot a RHD one among them! They must be a rare thing down the line, there are so many ‘home nation’ US orders to fulfil.

I think I’ve now got a May build which is very exciting!

I'm a bit late to the party with these but around a year ago or so I looked them up and loved it but never thought there would be a RHD.

Seriously considering ordering one, but I am 6 months into my 911 order, I guess it would be silly to drop that and go for the C8.

Wonderful cars though. Really really grown on me.

Am i right in thinking that it'll be at least a year if i was to order before I get a build slot?

Thanks

I actually emailed Ian Allen ago few days and they said if I put a deposit right now, I would be looking early to mid 2024,

So yep about 2 years

5th of June was the two year anniversary of me putting my deposit down. No news on a build date, and now the dealer aren't even responding to my emails.

Starting to get a bit fed up with it all...

Well I went across to IAM motors this morning, luckily they are only 30 mins down the road from me.

My order is at build stage 3400, which is broadcast for production. So it might be in the factory right now.

Nice spec'... I saw a Rapid Blue HTC in the showroom last time I looked in at IAM.
Do you have an ETA for arrival?

It has a VIN which apparently means it has been built... so maybe a month or so?

When did you confirm the spec? There is quite a batch of cars ready to ship as I understand it, so there will be a good few cars coming in together.
