Sorry to hear that Nige - is it only the turbo that bought the farm or has it affected the engine too?
Did you get any figures before it went?
Hope you get it back up and running soon, I guess you're getting all the cars breakdowns out the way now for a troublefree 200,000 miles next...

Joel in SKUNK is currently leading in the Top Speed class apparently with over 200 MPH! Hope he goes on an wins, he also set a sub 11 second time at Santa Pod yesterday....well done JOEL
Thats fantastic news on the Rear wheel drive/american car front
,now if he can drive aswell as Nadine then he's in there. Keep the updates coming Nige.
I have been awaiting a new turbo from the US, it appears that the guy that owns the company that built the turbo originally has committed suicide (nothing to do with my calls I was glad to hear).
So, I now have to remove the old turbo and ship it back to the US so that the company that sold me the turbo kit can get the required parts re-manufactured.

As with all things in the UK it will be mega-expensive but I will mighttry getting the turbo rebuilt here rather than ship it to Washington state and back again and also trying to stop the b@stards at HMC&E trying to tax and vat me again on the re-importation could be fun.
IIRC you can get it passed them if it's a "warranty item"....

The C&E thing isn't an issue cos u can send it out on a temporary import under warranty return. Just important to get the correct paperwork done. Do NOT send it out normally and then expect to bring it back under temporary import. You have to log it prior to it going out!

How do I go about this?
I hope I will finish getting the turbo out next weekend.
