C6 ZO6; any coming up for sale soon?
Discussion
Who is Nigel and David?
I've been watching the market since around Spring 2019 and think I've only seen 5 come on the market in the UK on Pistonheads/Autotrader/Facebook. I'm hoping to get one in the next 18 months. Have been mulling over the merits of waiting for a UK car to come up vs buying one from France/Germany vs importing from US.
Haven't come to any strong conclusion yet on that! Keep us posted how you get on.

Morning all,
I’ve just about sold my cerbera and taken a deposit.
When it’s gone, I will be buying a c6z06.
I’ve been in touch with Nigel and David about theirs.
Before I plan a road trip, are there any others coming up for sale a bit more local to me in West Sussex ?
There were a few more around a couple of years ago ,Adrian Dromey had a few for sale remember two low mileage black cars at aroundI’ve just about sold my cerbera and taken a deposit.

£36/£37K . also two modified cars ,one yellow and the other silver but they seemed to have dried up and the ones that do come up seem
to be £7K/£10K dearer. might be worth putting a wanted ad on the CCCUK forum just incase someone is thinking about selling.
I saw Steve's post on the CCCUK Facebook site.
He was asking about a convertible that was for sale, I only asked if he would be interested in mine.
I did try to post about mine on here a short while ago as someone was looking for one, but it was removed due to going against advertising rules.
Probably because I gave a lot of info and a price.

I was lucky enough to buy one of the 2 black low mileage black Z06s from Adrian. The other one had already been sold at went abroad to the Netherlands.
Think you bought at the right time, they seem hard to find now,From memory your Z06 had the factory exhaust valve switch which
is a nice extra to have. Still looking good although you have to keep on top of a black car.

I thought that had sold. Came up on another thread a few weeks ago. Owned by 2 or 3 PH'ers I believe. Shame I don't like them in red really.
My Z06 has been fine in my ownership of over 5 years. I was advised to get the best low mileage car with service history I could find, but at the time they were hard to track down. It took me a few months of looking and then Adrian had 2 in, both with full service history. I was quick to chase them, but one had already gone. I’ve kept up the service history by going to Ian Allan Motors and each time the car has been perfect with no issues.
The car drives great, and corners as if on rails and out drags anything, but I think everyone knows what the performance of these models are like. Just haven’t managed to use it very much at all, especially since the start of lockdown last year.. only done about 3.5k in my ownership in 5 years!

LeroyLoser, whilst that Z06 looks good in white, it's a ludicrous price for a US imported car (which traditionally achieve lower prices than UK/EU spec cars).
By contrast, if it's a white one you're after, this car is in Germany, but it's an EU spec car. Just a shame that Brexit means it'd now be the subject of VAT (but it'd still be cheaper than the one in UK, and it's a 2019 car) - plenty of people have imported from Germany. Worth keeping an eye on 'mobile.de' for others, too.

I’d most likely buy in Germany as I’m based in Europe, I can buy in Uk to though and leave on Uk plates so I can play it both sides, as you say, crazy money for a USA car, the purple convertible started at a similar figure 18mts ago! now at 70 By contrast, if it's a white one you're after, this car is in Germany, but it's an EU spec car. I like the idea of a Uk plate car again, now the reciprocal agreement on Uk license has been agreed. At the mo there’s an 18mth lag on info between Europe and Uk on driver info, helps with spirited driving, register the car in my fathers name = no confiscation, not that I break the + 40kmh anymore, just to be safe tho..
If you're in Europe, then keep an eye out on these sites (you probably already know about them) -
