No. It's the colour of the light, not the plastic although it possibly has to be a certain brightness so a black tinted repeater might fail. Mine has blue iridium white repeaters.

On my black car I would love smoked repeaters rather than the orange ones. Where do you get them for a C5?

The SVA Manual just gives the angular limits for visibility. It suggests, although not specifically that the unit should be E Marked.

I have smoked lenses fitted that show orange when lit. They ae E Marked so I'm assuming they'll be OK when I go for SVA.

Must be E marked with amber light, full stop... other than that you can do what you want! Mine are triple LED with clear plastic, but E-marked is the critical aspect.
