C5 Aftermarket Radio
Discussion
Has anyone removed the standard head unit from a c5?
How much room is there behind the stereo?
I want to fit an aftermarket radio, a 5v converter for usb, a relay for a switched live feed and some fuses, but have no idea if all of this will fit.
I have limited access to the car as i live in a flat, with a single garage and have no room to work on it. So when i finally do the job of removing the center console etc id like it to be a one time thing
It would be even better if there was room for a small piece of DIN rail to mount everything on!
Thanks in advance

Look at the US forums - lots of threads on updating the built in unit. Many people just add Bluetooth controllers behind the dash or other head units in a different place and connect them to the CD Multichanger socket on the loom - you can buy wiring kits in the US for that. There are also dual DIN replacement kits available.
