Apparently the X Pipe is REALLY loud, so I expect Brett and Kerensa came back deaf after many hundred miles of driving.

X-pipe was great. Had a real nice sound to it. But don't drive around 2000rpm it will make ya ears bleed.

Le Mans was good fun as well.

I fear that buying you pressies was not high on Nige's list of priorities as had a mechanical problem but I'm sure he will elaborate when he gets back.

By the way, Le Mans was bloody brilliant from the moment we got to the Channel Tunnel on the way out until we got back this afternoon - my first car Le Mans and I will be back next year.

Clutch hydraulics let go in Mulsanne Parking Sunday afternoon, so car had to be recovered to a local garage.
Saw it yesterday and it is a simple problem to fix so the car should be ready today.
I have to fly/train etc. to Le Mans on Thursday/Friday to recover the car back to the UK.

Really pissed off I missed the racing on Sunday and was fairly pissed off with the traffic all weekend.

Spent 2 hours in assorted traffic jams on Thursday on the way down, spent over 2 hours queuing to get into the circuit on Saturday, spent another 2 hours trying to get out on saturday night at about Midnight.
Spent another hour in traffic on the Paege north of Le Mans yesterday.

The hospitality thing this year was not as good as last year although having dedicated toilets was an improvement.

Glad to hear the problems were not too serious. The heat couldn't have helped, mine started to overheat by the time we got to the old town. Even leaving well after the end of the race it was a long Q to the town.

Brett, maybe you need to clean out your radiator fins.

I can burn you a chip which turns the fans on sooner, I've done it for mine and it stays cool even in traffic jams.

My fans already come on very early, the fins are clean. It was 38 degrees on Sunday and the car sat in trafic from the moment it started for about an hour. I had to turn the aircon off (it was fighting a loosing battle anyways) in the the end and put the heater on - that brought the temp down a fraction and stopped the car from overheating.
