Neon Sunset and Nighthawk / Custom Car 1974

I bought this issue of Custom Car as a Corvette mad kid in 1974. Think I cut the pictures out and stuck them on the bedroom wall ! Just got another copy.
Does anyone else remember these two cars ?
Neon Sunset apparently was customised in Zurich came over here to Blighty briefly and was sent out to Turkey, by its owner. It was said to be an L-88 ( a 68 by the look of it ? )

I am sure I spoke with the then owner of Nighthawk in circa 1992, when I had my 69 Stingray. He said that he had bought a white 427 and on stripping it to repaint, had discovered its past !
Sure he said he was drag racing it ?
