Badly need tyres for my 2003 Z06; but don’t seem to be able to find any to fit. Some not great brands available for rears but fronts (265/40 R17) are nowhere. Can use 275 fronts but can’t find those either. Searched all the usuals plus manufacturers website.. used to be able to get them a few years ago and still available in the US.

Anyone know where I can source Michelin, Toyo or similar in these sizes?

My first click on Blackcircles shows they sell a Falken in that size for £128 fitted. It's the successor to their 452 tyre which was always well regarded.

Yes sorry I meant can’t find a tyre fitment for both front and back - so there is choice of Michelins and others for the rear but only falken (and maybe couple others on their sites) for the front - I don’t want to mix them.

Yes, it looks like you could go for these sizes for a Falken 453 (on Black Circles):

Front 265/40/17

Rear 285/35/18 (this size is not on Black Circles) or 295/30/18

The rears are different from standard, so you'd need to see if they were still within tolerance of the traction control (a google search shows the C5 is pretty forgiving of this?) and how they might look.

I have the same problem, and have pretty much accepted I will have to continue with the Falkens on the front.

A couple of years ago I fitted the Michelin Pilot Supersport to the rear in OEM size, and this is a fantastic tyre, and even surprisingly good in the wet.

The problem is the Supersports on the rear, showed the limitations in the Falkens at the front. I have slightly older Fk452, but it makes the car too understeery. Perhaps if I replaced with fresh Fk453 at the front it would be less noticeable.

I toyed with the idea of going down to 245/45/17 (regular C5 size) at the front, as you could get a Michelin SS in that size from the US, but this would be a bit of a stretch on the 9.5" Z06 rim, and probably also show too much understeer.

Looks like Michelin PS2 is still available in the US in both the correct sizes, but this is an old tyre design. Having said, that may be a better match for the SS at the rear on mine, since SS was essentially the successor to PS2, and PS4S is the successor to both.

If you want to get tyres from the US I would recommend Keith Beschi, from Eurovettes.

Thanks all. Will do some more helpful ntthen ng and maybe call Michelin to see if they can bring some US destined tyres here. The other option is to get new wheels and go 18 front 19 rear but I’d prefer to keep the car standard.

I tried contacting Michelin to see if they would do the Supersport in the C5Z front width, as they already did the rear, and I got a very definite no, with zero explanation.

I thought it would make a good case, as there are so few matched front/rears out there, and significant numbers of C5Z06 built. Probably more than there were 996 turbos, if that is the reason the rear size exists.

Not sure if Supersport will start to disappear soon tho, as PS4S has replaced it in some sizes, including the regular C5 front in the US.

Found some Michelin PS2s in the front size but they’re £397 each! Also found Toyo Proxes T1 Sports on mytyre.co.uk for fronts and back. Anyone know anything about these? Currently have TR1’s which were fine...
