Oh forgot to mention, I am also going for the seven speed manual.
I just can t get on with these darn new fangled paddle shifters. Give me an old fashioned clutch and gear lever any time.
Very good decision. I drove both at the launch over here in July and the automatic was no fun at all on the road. Other people drove it on track and set quicker times but I'd go for the seven-speed every time. Are you planning to track it?I just can t get on with these darn new fangled paddle shifters. It's definitely my favorite version of the C7 to drive.
Hi I Broker,
Any news of your Grand Sport ?.
I emailed the factory last week and they told me my car is scheduled to be built next week.
I have ordered the photo album .
A photographer follows the car down the line and then the photos are mounted in an album.
It is ridiculously expensive but as I intend to hang onto the car for a while I thought it was a nice thing to have.

My Z06 is admiral blue ,the same colour as the GS in the photo minus the stripes.[url] The photo of my actual car coming of the line on Feb 1st was sent by Lori in the Museum Delivery Programme Dept. She also sent an image of the build sheet which caused a minor panic as against interior colour was the code BLK which I took to be black. I have a dislike of black interiors and had ordered dark blue napa leather on the seats ,dash and doors.
A quick e mail to Lori and she sent me a photo of the interior showing..................blue! panic over.
I presume the photos came as part of the album package even so full marks to Lori and Shane at Bowling Green.
Hopefully the Vette should arrive in the UK in March.

Very envious of you blokes. I just found the online UK configuration tool:

I think these are honestly my favourite (potentially affordable) car on the planet right now, overtaking the gt350 and gt4. If anyone anywhere near essex takes delivery I would love to pop over for a good drool.

Hi Forum, now to the site. I am planning to import a US built 2017 grand sport to the UK after having toured the US. I am OK for taxes and duties, but here's the complicated bit, after some time I want to take it to France and register it there. I can get a COC (certificate of conformity) from the EPA in the US.
Anyone know if I'll get any difficulty getting it registered and plates in France. I have tried to find if the US build conforms with EU standards, but have hit a wall...........not literally.
Any advice would be appreciated
