Hi all,

Well, I'm getting a new laptop w/o a built-in CD burner...which must be life's way of telling me burning MP3 CDs for my C6 Nav unit is a bit old school smile

I'd like to add an aux input instead, but all I could find was the GM PAL which seems v expensive and in short supply... Has anyone added aux to their Nav, and if so how did you do it?

Cheers,
Gary

Hi Gary - I asked about this when I first bought my C6. Apparently, you can't add an aux input for the UK spec cars. The only way to run an iPhone or other music device is to have a FM emitter. Alternatively, you can replace the unit (Kenwood and Pioneer appear to the normal choice). There are some threads on PH, but also on CCCUK there are a few as well.

If you do find a way of adding an aux to the OEM unit, then would be interested in hearing it!

Cheers

I believe you need a sirrus set up for it to work. Do you have Bose or standard? Either way its probably best to replace the stock system, though I do love the way it integrates with the HUD and is actually not a bad nav unit.

Do a search for Ray Kawal, he makes these inputs for all C6 types US or EU

That's too modern for a car with cart springs that can't go round corners and is built of plastic!

And yet they never say that about TVR's, Nobel's etc wink

Decided to try the cheap and easy option first - a Bestek bluetooth FM transmitter for £10. Only tried it in the garage so far, but seems to work and sounds OK...let's see what it's like on the move!
