Hi Corvette guys

I just thought i'd jump over to your forum to see if anyone can point me in the right direction...

I have a LS2 engine which is suffering some fuelling issues.
Does anyone know of a LS engine expert around north Essex who may be able to help?

Thanks in advance

Before you go to the expert, try a post on the cccuk site. It is not massively over fuelling on the left bank and smelling like a petrol garage is it by any chance?

I had the same on my LS1 a few years back, which turned out to be injector wiring around the fuel rails picking up some damage from engine vibration. There was one post on the whole of the Internet which matched my symptom and that was the one that cost me about 0.002 p of tape and fish tank air tube to fix. It is really worth a detailed search of the web to avoid some potentially expensive costs.

For example, I had an ABS code which after connecting to it their computer resulted in the Corvette specialist suggesting that I spent several thousands on a new ABS system. So, being no car electronics specialist, I took it home, and went back to basics, swapping loom components etc. The net net was it turned out that everything was OK except for a wheel sensor and the error message manual was wrong which was causing the confusion on the computer. About £150 quid to buy, ship fit myself.

I have had an autolec recommended by the indie that looks after the MoT and any rectification side of the Vette and other oddbal cars I have had over the years. Maybe that could be a better recommendation than some random on the web. If you know a good local indie, maybe ask him?

Cheers for the response SeeFive.

I thought the problem was ECU (it runs with a stock GM ECU).
Richard (EFI live) has been over and checked it out and whilst the map wasn't entirely stock it certainly isn't the cause of the problem.

In slightly more detail, under load i get a large 'moment' which according to Richards diagnostics is due to no fuel being available. The application has a standard FPR and the FPG is steady at 58psi.
The fuel pump seems ok, as the fuel pressure seems steady, even mid-'moment'

Due to what has been ruled-out, Richard has suggested it's probably best to look at the spark being the problem, so focusing coils, loom etc.
My automotive experience with such witchcraft is a big fat zero, hence the need for some help and expert guidance! smile

Try asking on corvetteforum.com in the C6 sections.
Someone there will know.

Hi, I have had a lot of work done on my LS7 by Torque Developments International In Thurrock. Sam at TDI used EFI live to map my car with great sucess. If it is a wiring issue then I suggest Sileck Motorsport wiring in new Romney. Simon at Sileck rewired my LS7 as the standard wiring loom was creating all sorts of issues as it fell to bits and melted. My car has never run so well! Good luck.
