Ok hopefully soon I will be in a position to purchase a car which if you told me not so long ago I would be spending this amount on a car I would have laughed a lot and said you were bonkers. So I'm worried about sending a huge sum of money to a dealer then having to wait for delivery. Will the car turn up? Will the dealer go bust? What if what if etc. how does it all work, will a dealer just take a deposit so I can pay when I see the car in the metal?. Thinking of a new z06 so it's not a small amount money, who do I trust?

Nogbad!

Hello mate, about time you upgraded.

Is it a UK dealer or US one?

Charles of 51st State is bringing a car in for me at the moment (Challenger not Vette) and I paid a deposit on order in March, £10k due on build and balance on collection next month. So risk is relatively small, but there's risk in anything I guess!

It's the 3rd vehicle I will have bought off him, and I know two other guys who have dealt with him on numerous occasions and will speak highly of him also. No other vested interests just happy customers.

Hope it helps and you enjoy your car!
