Clarkson Review of Z06
Discussion
I can't understand the spinning comment, I've not driven a Z06 yet (late July 😎) but C7 with a Z51 has a staggering amount of grip, the electronic diff is fantastic and his car was on Pilot Cup Sports are they're the proverbial excrement to a blanket when warned up so was he just being a throbber?
I have a 2015 Z06/ Z07 and can't understand his comments. I've tracked mine on 2 days so far and this car is simply unbelievable. Mine was on the Pilot Super sports not the cups as I had to travel quite a way to get there and didn't want to wear the cups down. I managed a sustained 1.3G lateral acceleration and the car was just amazing. I have to think that it was quite cold and maybe a bit damp when he tested it as his findings are the complete opposite of every other reviewer. Here's a little taster of my laps at the National Corvette Museum track.

Did Clarkson actually drive it? Said that the "dimwitted" auto he drove didn't have paddle shifters. It does (?).
The fastest production car around the Sachsenring is a 991 Porsche 911 Turbo S in the hands of an AutoBild staffer. That was until they put C7 Z06 around the circuit, however. The Turbo S set a time of 1:32.51 around the track, which the Z06 has now demolished by over 2 seconds, running the course in 1:30.47.
To put things in perspective, that time is faster than a McLaren 650S, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Lamborghini Huracan and an SLS AMG Black Series, among many others. AutoBild says they knew the car would be fast, but they were shocked when they looked at their VBox data and realized it was over 2 seconds a lap quicker than the next fastest car they had tested.

Also, Z06 convertible gets a fantastic write up in this months (June 2015) Top Gear magazine. Driving around California in the company of a 690 bhp Lambo Aventador LP700 Roadster. To quote:
1) Z06 bargain at twice the price
2) Awesome/Astonishingly good piece of kit
