So, on a C5, the rims size is 17" front and 18" back. If one wanted to go 18" front and 19" back - I know what would need to be done tyre wise using this calculator I found: http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-...

  • BUT, if I wanted to put 19"s on all around - the tyre profiles would have to differ to retain the correct radius and not mess with the TC / com. Does anyone know if it's ok to put on the same size wheel all around - and use different tyre profiles to compensate - or is it preferable to keep the 1" less fronts as a rule of thumb??

You could try corvetteforum the C5 section.
I have previously changed the wheels on my C5 Z06 to 18 and 19s.
Didnt have any problems at all, not sure on same size wheels, might be able to program out.

From what I've read, the 1" difference is purely for appearance - allegedly it looks "under-wheeled" at the rear if the same size rims are used all round due to the differing amount of bodywork above the wheel arches front versus rear. I'd also be worried about rim-damage if I had slivers of rubber on the fronts (especially without the thicker sidewalls of runflats).
