Hmmmm.
That's presumably going to make life interesting for,
a) Anyone who's put a deposit down on a Stingray
b) Anyone who's looking for parts and support
c) Anyone with warranty issues on a recent UK car
b) & c) are already sorted - Ian Allan Motors are an official Corvette repair centre and supporters of the CCCUK. That's presumably going to make life interesting for,

The procedures for the latest "headlight wiring recall" are on the CCCUK website and there will be a full feature in the next Vette News.

Well, that'll at least be more convenient than Manchester !!Corvette/Cadillac mingling among the Peugeots and SsangYongs? I still remember how desperate it was when we had to go to the Vauxhall dealerships.

Manchester is considerably more convenient than battling around the M25 for the most of us that live slightly north of the Centre of the Universe. It's sad to see B-M go. Not long ago they invested in all new and enlarged service premises. I suppose they could have made the strategic decision to move out of the city centre at that stage, but for whatever reason they decided to stay, despite now citing the consequent high overheads as a major difficulty.Corvette/Cadillac mingling among the Peugeots and SsangYongs? Fortunately for me I've disposed of my Z06 now and downsized to something more trackable.
Sad news indeed.
My dealings with them have always been satisfactory, o.k. my C7 was delivered after 11 months instead of the 5 months promised but that was down to GM.
I don't believe GM supported them in the way that they should and it makes me worry about GM's commitment to supporting Corvette in the U.K.
I know that they say they are going to support Corvette and Cadillac in Europe and the U.K. but not having a dealer in the U.K is not an encouraging sign of future intent.
I have only had my C7 since October so I am more than interested to see what GM do to honour their obligations.
Maybe if they continue to sponsor ManU there is some hope of commitment to U.K. customers, if just appointing a dealer in the North to service their cars. Not that they use them, if you can believe the press, apparently they are just parked up at the training ground.

'kin hell !!! I've only just read this, very sad news indeed,an American car institution gone.
They were always very helpful every time I dealt with them, they even carfaxed a few trucks & cars for me and didn't charge me.
I always thought they were heading for greater things in the UK, it seems I was mistaken.

that was before the worldwide recession ! they had high hopes for the business - remember reading an interview Mitch did with AM ONLINE - even talk of opening another place maybe in Leeds. Surely they could have sold their premises earlier and moved elsewhere ? don't know why they had to invest so much in service facilities for fiat group products when they had only just taken on Chrysler and jeep. wonder would any big dealer group be interested in buying the business ? good name - good service facilities ??
